9 Tips for A Successful 2019

Happy New Year luvs! I hope your year started off on a great note. It has been a while and I know I went MIA, but this is because I like to start the year off by focusing on myself and reflect a little bit away from social media.

With that being said, I sincerely wish you a great year and may it be your best one yet. I know I’m a bit late in the game but still wanted to drop in and share a few of my tips for a successful year.

Tip #1 – stay prayerful: There is no magic to having a great year other than staying prayed up. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you, Matthew 6:33 KJV”. If you put God first, other things will fall into place. Often time we get so busy that it is hard to pray, but trust and believe it is the most important part of your day.

Tip #2 – Stress Less: One of my main goal this year is to stress less over everything. Many of us write resolutions and goals we expect to accomplish throughout the year, and it is important to work on those resolutions and be held accountable, however maintaining a positive attitude when faced with challenges and continue to move forward is key. Besides the goals and resolutions, life brings forth many unexpected challenges and it is really important not to be overwhelmed by them. Regardless of the challenges and difficulties, consider each day as a gift and live my best life.

Tip #3 – Maintain healthy habits: Most of us are not health gurus but we can still adopt small healthy habits. My goal this year is to eat healthy, and also incorporate exercising. To be honest, I have already started changing my diet a little bit and will be posting more on my health journey this year. We only have one body and it is important to take care of it.

Tip #4 – Slay the financial goals: Save more and build wealth: Saving can be difficult at times because it always feel as though there is not enough coming in to be able to save. If that is you, know that you are not alone. Saving is great but stop accumulating/pay off debts might be the first step in the right direction. Saving and building wealth have to be intentional but again revert back to tip #1.

Tip #5 – Work hard and smart: It’s important to work hard but also smart. You can work smart without making it far. Know what your purpose is, network, grind hard. Don’t be afraid to go hard for what you want but be sure to put in work that is aligned with your purpose.

Tip #6 – Selfcare is a beast: I have never been so intentional about protecting my peace, loving and taking care of myself. This year I’m more committed than ever to do more of the things I love, show myself love, and only allow positive vibes around myself.

Tip #7 – Surround yourself with great people: It is going to take people to bring visions to pass. The people you surround yourself with can determine how far you can go. You can work as hard as you possibly can but if you surround yourself with Debbie downers who discourage you constantly and do not motivate you, your dreams can be as good as dead.

Tip #8 – Kick the fear out: Don’t be afraid to dream big and take bold steps. If your dreams do not scare you, then they are not big enough. If you’ve been dreaming about a business idea, go for it. There is nothing too big for you to do as long as you believe in yourself.

Tip #9 – Love is the glue that holds it all: It’s befitting to talk about love since we’ll soon enter love season. Show care where it’s needed. Ask how you can help. Be there for others whether they can return the same.

Now that we’re all set with the tips, let’s all kill it this year.

xoxo,

Chida
