One of the great perks of leaving so close to Washington, D.C. is the fact that it offers so many cultural events, festivals and historic tourist sites. As the weather is warming up, the outdoor events multiply and fill me with joy. Coming from a country formerly colonized by the French, and heavenly influenced by their culture, I was glad to have stumbled upon the Annual Georgetown French Market. The intent of this market is to imitate Paris Market and allow the community to experience the French culture. There were everything you could expect from a Paris market such as clothes, food, music, fun games, arts, etc. I enjoyed the savory French bakery, the Caribbean music too, and brought home some handmade crafts. I’m already looking forward to next year’s event.
