Hello darlings! It has been a minute and I wanted to show up here this week and share a few updates. This has been a super busy week, hence the blogpost coming up mid-week. Not only was I busy, my eyes were also acting up, phew! When they say health is wealth, it is the truth and this is regarding any little part of our body cuz chile my eyes wouldn’t let me be great. Overall I’m doing good and thanking God for grace.
This week I want to delve into a topic that is near and dear to me: my new babies. The “Deka” concept. As most of you know by now, I’m Togolese and one of the prominent language is Mina so it is no surprise that it inspired my business name. “Deka” in Mina means unity, or union.
Last year I was inspired to start a business and the name that kept coming and finally won was “Deka” and I honestly just love the name because it means a lot to me. I’ve realize how much can be done when people join hands together, when a community comes together. I’ve realized that there is much power in unity, so my businesses come as an ode to unity and togetherness.
In the next few weeks, I’ll be launching Dekamarketplace and Dekachop which are two businesses in my “Deka” concept. They are essentially an African products marketplace and directory platform. I realized that a lot of friends have started a business so I was wondering how I could be of service to them. My response came in the form of Dekamarketplace which is a marketplace for African-inspired goods, and Dekachop as a directory service for African and Caribbean restaurants.
I can’t wait to share all the good things happening but in the meantime feel free to stay in touch by following us online @dekamarketplace and @dekachop.
I’ve been shopping in my closet a lot recently but here are a few inspiration to create a similar look.
