It’a new week and it is a great one! I hope y’all are doing great. Coming to you this week with some business tools that can make life easier for an entrepreneur. As most of you know, I’ve had a cosmetics business for a few years. Given the fact that most people are currently working from home and might be starting a business, I wanted to share a few of the tools I find useful when running my business.
#1 Social Media Apps: Is your business on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram where potential clients can find you easily? It is pretty easy to open any of this social media account and if you have a business or thinking about opening a business, you should think about having a social media presence where you can create content to attract future clients.
#2 Content Scheduling Apps: So by now, you’ve started your business and created a social media presence so you’re wondering, now what? Creating content and uploading content can really be time consuming and if you have budget for it, you might be able to outsource it. However I find it helpful to create content in batch and just schedule the content. To do so, here are a few apps that help: Later, Planoly, Unum, and many others.
#3 Collaboration Tools: Starting a business is not easy and if you find yourself collaborating with others and having a hard time holding them accountable, Asana might be the perfect project management app for you. I’ve used Asana in the past and it is really user-friendly. You can assign tasks and keep an eye on each tasks as well as the timeline and the overall project. I’m sure there are many tools out there but I’ve personally used Asana and like it so far.
# 4 To-do lists: I personally like to break down each task into small deliverables. I make a list in Wunderlist and give each actionable item a deadline and that helps me keep an eye on how much work needs to be done and how the tasks are progressing.
I would like to add that this is not an exhaustive list of the tools you need, so please feel free to share your best practices and tools in the comments.
