Bangkok was the last city on the itinerary and a much anticipated stop at that. The city girl in me was jumping of joy seeing all the skyscrapers, the beauty and the lights in the city. If you heard anything about Thailand then Phuket and Bangkok are probably some of the most visited cities whether talked about in a good way or a bad way. I was also excited at the prospect of the change in accommodation as well as the shopping opportunities.
Where to Stay: Amara Bangkok was the perfect and ideal four star hotel accommodation stay to end this trip. It was unlike any of our accommodations so far and I was particularly excited about the rooftop pool that I’ve heard so much about. The hotel is strategically located close to the BTS station, walking distance to the night market, and the shopping centers, not to mention its spectacular rooftop pool that offer a view of the Bangkok skyline. Did I mention the view of the room? open the curtain offers a majestic view of the city right from the hotel room. If you are planning to stay in Bangkok, this is definitely a place to stay. I highly recommend the Amara Bangkok for your stay in Bangkok.
Things to Do: There is so much to do in a big city such as Bangkok. There are great eateries that provide outstanding services and food. For the foodies like myself, it is pure joy! Visiting the shopping malls in Bangkok is also a must do because they include such a vast variety of items in the same area. I was not able to visit all the shopping malls but the few I’ve visited are Siam Paragon, BTS, Siam Heritage. Although they carry some American and European brands, they also carry a variety of local brands that are just great. The night market is also a great avenue for gifts and souvenirs. Ask the hotel staff for directions an they will be happy to oblige.
There are a number of things to do and cannot be listed all in one post. Look out for additional posts on things to do in Bangkok. I hope you enjoy your stay.
